The Trials and Tribulations of a Ginger Cat Called Tomato

Today there was milk with pink for me! It was amazing! Pink is the best color ever and milk is the best food ever (after SUSHI), so it is unsurprising that pink and milk put together are TASTY!

That was one of the most horrible, terrible, awful experiences ever! The Humans ganged up on me and the two of them together held me down, constricting all of my paws, while they jammed a long, stinky, plastic object into my mouth - with Sticky on it! Then they kept poking it into my mouth and trying to jam it down my throat over and over again!

Surely such treatment is so cruel that someone would step in to save poor me.

The Humans inflicted this treatment on Mahler after they had satisfied themselves in their cruelty to me. Mahler is obviously not very bright. If they had done this to him first, then I would have run and hid!

The Out is broken! It is very wet and I am very displeased!

It was HORRIBLE today. The Human threw out the rest of the SUSHI! Where my FISH came from! I WANT MY SUSHI!

Today I spent time in the Out (though only after that horrible Other Kitty was there first - let out by MY humans!).

THEN! Then I came in the In and had MILK! AND! one of my humans gave me FISH! Three Times!! Unfortunately he was very selfish and ate most of it himself. But I did get some and it was AMAZING!

Even better than HAM, if you can believe that.

It all turned out to be a false alarm. But that doesn't mean I should stay off my guard. I know The Humans are planning something sinister. Last weekend, two strange humans came in my dwelling. One of them slept on the big squashy air-filled thing and the other slept on MY couch. The Humans kept talking about the roasting pan! And People touched me! It was very frightening. Luckily, I did not have to fight for my life after all. One of The Strange Humans was actually quite comfortable to sleep on. They left, though, and now I am stuck with just the same old The Humans, who let me starve, keep me locked up inside, and refuse to dangle my ribbon on demand.

One other Unfortunate Thing is the Other Kitties who keep going in my territory. One of them comes up to MY window where I look at The Out every day and I have to be very fierce with her. She's lucky there is glass in between us! Just thinking about her makes me very angry and The Humans will not let me in The Out to demonstrate my dominance to her no matter how pitifully I cry. I told them that I would die if they did not let me in the Out, but their cold little hearts did not care.

At least I have been getting milk lately.

They're planning to eat me! OH NOES!

Humans are so selfish and rude. I have a new bed in the house. It is very large, and I have been very generous with allowing The Humans and Mahler to sleep on it with me at night. Mahler does not take up too much room, but The Humans are just enormous and they are not at all thoughtful about me on the bed with them. Last night, while trying to sleep by the male's feet, he rolled over and his big feet pushed be right off the bed! Then I moved over to the other side by the female and her arm shoved me off right onto the floor! It's very unnerving to wake up that way. I wish they would be more thoughtful about this. I mean, how would they feel if I did that to them? I don't think they would enjoy it at all.

Today was another horrible, horrible day. This morning, I was sleeping on the enormous soft bed with The Humans and Mahler when someone started banging on the door!! One of The Humans, for unfathomable reasons, went and OPENED the door! And let the scary People in!! They talked very loudly and then they made a LOT of very loud banging sounds. Mahler and I had to hide in the inner room of our big tree together! Then after the banging stopped, The Humans found me and pulled me out, even though I was shaking. The loud people were gone, so I stayed in our big room for awhile. I just needed to stretch and sharpen my claws a little and the big soft furniture piece in the big room was right there, but when I was minding my own business, sharpening my claws, The Humans started screaming at me! It was VERY upsetting. I don't know why they were so angry. They even chased me around yelling at me.

I was very mad and I had to get even with them. So I threw up on the only part of the floor that is furry. I know it is harder for them to clean that up. Then I got to watch them yell at Mahler instead, when he tried to eat it.

There is a new thing in our dwelling by the window! It is very tall and The Human says nice things when we scratch it. It looks like this:

Except there are no Other Kitties on it. I would beat them up if they sat on my Thing.

Today there were two other felines in my territory when I had a Go Out. They were big and ugly, but I puffed up and was very fierce and I chased them back into the dwelling from which they had come. Then The Human appeared and she was very angry and loud. She chased me back into our dwelling and took away the FANCY FEAST. When she brought it back, it smelled like those other kitties. AND she gave some to Mahler, but not me. I am truly incensed at the unfairness of the entire situation. What were those other kitties doing in MY territory and why does The Human favor them?

I am very FIERCE. Three days ago I killed an ant! And ate it! Yesterday I chased a very big fly a long time and I caught him!

One week ago, something absolutely horrendous happened. Rose, Mahler, and I were sequestered in the human sleeping chamber without breakfast. There was a lot of banging and shouting, which endured for at least an hour. Finally, Mahler and I were roughly and indignantly forced into cages and placed in one of The Humans' loud bouncing grumbling machines. We must have been in there for days and days without food or water. I complained loudly, but the cruel Humans did nothing to alleviate my discomfort, though my throat was finally sore from the torture I had endured. It must be Mahler's fault.

We are now located in a new dwelling, which must be very, very far from the old place and the female Human has run off the male. Rose is not here. Nor Nermal. Instead there are two large, nasty cats who sometimes look at us through the windows when we visit the Out. On a more positive note, the windows here are larger and we sometimes do get to visit the Out, though the vicious Human has forced me back in the In more than once. The ground in the In is mostly stone, but I like to throw up on the furry patches to show my displeasure at the unreasonably short Out visits.
